really expensive
it was meant to be for my partner a wee surprise for his 40th when we arrived i was told it wasn’t paid for when i said it was they had the cheek to tell me it wasn’t people looking at me so embarrassing then only i had my phone with me i had to go on to my online banking to prove it was paid for an if that wasn’t bad enough the room was dirty an so small you couldn’t pass each other in the room i also required that something was put in the room that it was my partners 40th like a pastry with writing on the plate No of course that wasn’t done either for one thing my partner will not forget his 40th an all for the wrong reasons will not be going there ever again an i have stayed in some beautiful hotels but the Europa is definitely not one it was a disgrace

Location Cleanliness of lobby and public areas Polite reception staff
Our “city view” was a view of a black wall. The heating in the room and the temperature of the water.. Disappointed that the piano bar was closed. The lobby bar was horrendous.. I respect the sad times we are currently living in.. The pandemic has hit the hospitality industry the hardest. Every hotel is trying their best to adapt to the “new normal”, but the service in the restaurant was embarrassing. I believe the staff judged me because of my age.. I arrived at the podium and waited 8 minutes to get in contact with a member of staff. (Bare in mind the restaurant was empty) I started by asking “is it possible to have a pint?” And the rude waiter responded “well are you a resident”. I believed he looked at my oddly and was surprised when I was.. The waiters were checking all of the tables except mine. Again I believe it was my age.. I finished my pint at 18:45 and left the empty glass at the edge of the table. At 19:04 I was asked if I wanted another drink.. 20 minutes later.. He delivered the drink but kept the empty glass of the table. There was a mistake with times on the menu also. The staff were not attentive, they were certainly not approachable or friendly and I felt they were rude and didn’t care. I did not feel welcome and I’m not sure if I could possibly recommend this hotel to anyone in the future. Working in the hospitality industry myself, I was sad.. don’t judge a book by its cover..... I do want to compliment the young waiter in the lobby bar as he was kind and genuine.

Very Good
The property was amazing. The staff were lovely everywhere in the building. We ordered a table in the piano lounge and were fortunate enough to get a great table by the window. Service was quick and efficient and the food was lovely. My girlfriend and I both got the burgers. Bedrooms were lovely and the beds were very comfortable. Had a great nights sleep. Overall a great stay.
Nothing.

Wonderful
The lady at the front desk when checking in was really friendly and made me feel very welcome. The room was a good size with a huge comfy bed, large smart TV and nice sized bath in the bathroom. The best bit was the view from our room, we were on the 11th floor and could see the whole of Belfast!
Door of the bathroom didn't lock or close properly.

Good
The size of the room. The bath and shower had great water pressure.
Food being served on wood instead of a plate. Would of liked the option of champ/mash with main meal.

This was the loudest hotel I have ever stayed in. I appreciate it is bang in the middle of the city but for a hotel so highly rated I thought they would have better windows to prevent such noise. I never slept as the city was so loud and the street cleaners went past at 3.30am!! This is enough to put me off staying here again!

Location, room, shower, bedding...basically everything.
Front desk wasn't very helpful about parking. We were told different things. The concierge though was much wiser, and sorted everything for us!
